Financial Aid and Scholarships

Xperitas is a nonprofit educational organization, committed to making immersion programs accessible to as many students as possible. Providing financial aid grants to eligible students is one way we can meet our mission of transforming lives through shared global experience and intercultural learning.

Financial Aid Eligibility

Financial aid eligibility is based on a participant's financial need. Participants whose families have a household income of $55,000 or less are eligible. The minimum award is 10% of the program cost, and the maximum is 60% of the program cost.

Award Amounts

The chart below is a guideline for financial aid eligibility; however, we take into account all of the applicants' circumstances and submitted materials. Students and parents can estimate the amount of financial aid for which they are eligible using the chart below.

Household Income

Award amount

$35,000 – $55,000 up to 15% of total program cost
$25,000 – $35,000 up to 20% of total program cost
$15,000 – $25,000 up to 35% of total program cost
$0 – $15,000 up to 60% of total program cost

Award amounts will vary depending on the following conditions:

  • the amount available in the fund
  • the number of applicants who are eligible for financial aid
  • the number of dependents in applicant's household

Application Process

Students must be registered on a 2020 Xperitas program and postmark their complete Financial Aid application no later than October 15, 2019.
