Day 1 | San Juan
Arrive in San Juan and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome dinner to introduce you to the fabulous Puerto Rican cuisine! Meals Included: Dinner
Day 2 | Fajardo
Start out with a walking tour of Old San Juan and Fort San Cristóbal. Then head east to Fajardo, where you’ll navigate the waters of a bioluminescent bay by kayak, an adventure you’ll never forget. Meals Included: Breakfast
Day 3 | Fajardo
Set sail on a catamaran and enjoy an amazing snorkeling experience. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
Day 4 | Family Stay
Observe the natural wonders of Puerto Rico during a guided hike through El Yunque Rainforest. On the way back to San Juan, stop at the Paseo Tablado de Piñones to learn about mangroves and the local ecosystem. Then visit a ceremonial cave. Later, experience the rhythms of the Afro-Caribbean culture during a Bomba workshop before you meet your host family (2-3 students per host family). Meals Included: Breakfast, Dinner
Day 5 | Family Stay
Enjoy breakfast with your familia puertorriqueña and begin your first day of Spanish classes. In the afteroon, explore the local farmer’s market through a fun scavenger hunt. Later, learn about Puerto Rico’s indigenous cultures and art at the Museo de Historia, Antropología y Arte de la Universidad de San Juan. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 6 | Family Stay
Head south for a tour of Guavate. Learn how to cook traditional Puerto Rican food and enjoy an authentic lechón lunch. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 7 | Family Stay
After Spanish class in the morning, perfect your dance moves with a salsa dancing class. Later, take in a movie in Spanish at a local theater. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 8 | Family Stay
After Spanish class, spend the rest of the day participating in a volunteer activity. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 9 | Family Stay
Begin the day with a final Spanish class and then soak up the island lifestyle with a relaxing afternoon at the beach. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 10 | Return
Bid farewell to your Puerto Rican hosts and transfer to the airport for your flight back home. Meals Included: Breakfast

Spring Payment Schedule
Payment and cancellation schedule:
Billing and Payments: Xperitas will email a bill for the final payment approximately three weeks before it is due. For all other payments please refer to this schedule. A payment reminder will be sent to you via email a week before a scheduled payment is due. Payments can be made by credit/debit card via the Xperitas portal or by check or money order payable to Xperitas.
Cancellations: Any cancellation made through October 1, 2024 will receive a refund of the amount paid minus a $100 administrative fee. Cancellations made after this date will be calculated on an individual basis at the time of cancellation and follow the schedule and terms below.
