13-Day Program | A unique Spanish language immersion experience begins for your student group upon your arrival in Lima! Students will feel the magic of the land of the Incas as you travel to picturesque Cusco, nestled in the Andes mountains. This adventure in Peru includes archeological sites, bustling markets and a ride along the Urubamba River to the ruins of Machu Picchu. Host families welcome students for five days and nights of living, laughing and learning. Our unforgettable Family Stay Experience® allows students to become temporary locals and appreciate the everyday Peruvian lifestyle. Spanish language skills learned in the classroom come to life in this unique language immersion experience in Latin America. Day 1 | Lima

Arrive in Lima and transfer to your hotel. Meals Included: None

Day 2 | Cusco

Transfer to the airport for the flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, spend some time getting to know this magical city nestled in the Andes. Cap off the day with a performance of music and danzas folklóricas from the various regions of Peru. Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 3 | Cusco

Start the day with a visit to some of the ancient archeological sites near Cusco. You’ll begin with the impressive fortress of Saqsayhuamán and then continue with stops at Quenko, Pucapucara, and Tambomachay. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch

Day 4 | Cusco

Take in sweeping views of the Sacred Valley as you head to the Salinas de Mara salt flats, a unique spot that has served as a source of the mineral since Inca times. Then visit the circular terraces of Moray. On the way back to Cusco, experience a textile workshop in Chinchero to learn about the traditions of naturally dying the brightly-colored wool for which the area is known. Day 5 | Cusco

Board the train for a magical 4-hour train ride along the Urubamba River. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, a bus will take you up to the breathtaking ruins of Machu Picchu. Return to Cusco for the evening. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch

Days 6 - 10 | Family Stay

Begin your 5-day Family Stay where you will immerse yourself in the Peruvian culture by experiencing everyday life with your host family! It’s your opportunity to use your language skills in real-life situations and make new friends. Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 11 | Lima

Bid farewell to your familia peruana. Return to Lima and spend some time exploring the capital city before settling into your hotel for the night. Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 12 | Lima

Explore the extraordinary Iglesia y Convento de San Francisco and its catacombs and enjoy your last day in Peru. Transfer to the airport for your flight back to the United States. Meals Included: Breakfast

Day 13 | Return

Arrive back in the United States. Meals Included: None

Spring Payment Schedule

Billing and Payments: Xperitas will email a bill for the final payment approximately three weeks before it is due. For all other payments please refer to this schedule. A payment reminder will be sent to you via email a week before a scheduled payment is due. Payments can be made by credit/debit card via the Xperitas portal or by check or money order payable to Xperitas.

Cancellations: Any cancellation made through October 1, 2025 will receive a refund of the amount paid minus a $100 administrative fee. Cancellations made after this date will be calculated on an individual basis at the time of cancellation and follow the schedule and terms below.

*This fee is to help cover the cost of organizational resources incurred in the planning of the language/cultural immersion experience.

Enrollment Information

*Prices are based on a minimum group size of 24 students. When the minimum group size is not reached, a small-group supplement will apply. Final prices are determined by dates, air arrangements, family stay communities and other program components as confirmed by Xperitas, as well as the total size of the group and number of leaders at the time of final billing. Prices are subject to change due to fluctuations in fuel prices, exchange rates, and airfare costs beyond the control of Xperitas.

The order of this itinerary and all itinerary items are subject to change based on unforeseen circumstances that may arise prior to or during the program.
