Departure

Departure day has arrived! Your journey starts today with a flight that will take you to exciting Paris!

Day 2
|
Paris

Start your séjour in the "City of Lights” with a tour of Paris. Then explore the quartiers to see spectacular sites the children have learned about in school, practice French with waiters and shopkeepers and learn how to use the métro. Your first day in Paris will end with a Seine River cruise.

Day 3
|
Paris & Avignon

See the Place de la Concorde, continuing on the magical Champs-Elysées to the historic Arc de Triomphe. In early afternoon, take the TGV, the famous high-speed train, to Avignon, where host families will greet you at the railway station. Children will say au revoir to their parents as they join their famille française, and parents will start their stay in Avignon with a group dinner. For the next four nights, the students overnight in host families and parents stay at a centrally located hotel in Avignon.

Days 4-6
|
Family Stay/Avignon

As the students enjoy French life and bond with their French families, parents will visit the stunning Palais des Papes, enjoy a food tour of the market Les Halles, visit the le Pont d’Avignon, and have time to explore the many small shops of Avignon. They’ll also take a beautiful day trip by train to the Roman city of Nîmes, where they’ll visit the Jardin de la Fontaine, les Arènes des Nîmes and La Maison Carrée. The French host families will welcome the American parents into their homes for a day so parents and children can learn about authentic French life and build friendships to last a lifetime! Students will also join their French brother or sister at school and experience l’école française.

Day 7
|
Avignon

Students will say au revoir to their host families and join their parents for a day trip by private bus to Pont du Gard, the ancient Roman aqueduct bridge crossing the Gardon River, and then on to Saintes-Marie-de-la-Mer, a former fishing village in the beautiful Camargue. Students join their parents at the hotel for the next three nights.

Day 8
|
Avignon

This is another day of beautiful scenery! You’ll spend the day visiting les Baux de Provence, one of the most picturesque villages in France, and Roussillon, a village situated at the foot of Monts de Vaucluse, famous for its magnificent red cliffs and ochre quarries.

Day 9
|
Paris

It's time to bid farewell to Avignon and return to Paris for one last day of fun! An early morning high-speed train will give you plenty of time in Paris, where new adventures await. You’ll experience Montmartre and the exotic Basilique du Sacré-Coeur. Picnic on the steps then head to Beaubourg and be entertained by street performers near the Centre Pompidou! In the evening, you’ll climb the steps of the majestic Tour Eiffel for a bird’s eye view of the city. The day ends with a group farewell dinner.

Day 10

Return

You’ll want to stay, but it’s time to return home. A bus transfer will take you to the Charles de Gaulle International Airport for your flight to the U.S.
