On Friday evening, April 14, 2017, Xperitas will be hosting a concert event at the High School for Recording Arts (HSRA) in St. Paul, MN. The concert will feature the unique collaboration of the Twin Cities Community Gospel Choir (TCCGC), led by Artistic Director David Hurst, and the HRSA student vocal ensemble with instrumental back up from some fabulous local musicians. Together, the choir members and leaders will create original music that will be performed live for the first time at the event.
The TCCGC brings together singers of various ages, experience and ethnic backgrounds to celebrate music through the rich tradition of African American gospel music. The choir works to move audiences spiritually and create community across racial, cultural and economic boundaries. They have generously agreed to join HSRA as guest artists to help raise funds for a group of students to be part of an Xperitas Global Learners Scholarship Program in Entonet, on the border of Kenya and Tanzania. The program will provide the opportunity for students to share their music with the Maasai people and work together with community members to help renovate classrooms in the local school.
We hope you will join us for this event to help provide a wonderful group of students with a transformative learning experience that will help build their self-confidence and leadership skills and launch them on the path to global citizenship!
